Oregon Hope Chinese School Cultural Camp 2012Oregon Hope Chinese School Cultural Camp 20112俄勒冈希望中文学校2012夏令营Come join the fun this summer at Oregon Hope Chinese School Cultural Camp and learn Chinese Mandarin! Classes are total immersion taught by experienced native-speakers. Activities include music, movement, arts & crafts, storytelling, dramatic play, games and more! The camp atmosphere is an open and friendly environment for students to learn Chinese language, classical work, fairy tales, geography, and arts. Campers will build confidence in their language skills and enjoy the Chinese culture adventure. 教学目标: 融识字、学知于一体, 让孩子们度过一个既愉快又有收获的暑假. 教学形式是"动静结合,形式多样"。在教学过程中培养孩子们的观察力、理解力和想象力。引导孩子从无意学习转向有意学习,从游戏主导转向教育主导. Theme 1: Monkey King
Wukong 孙悟空, also known as the Monkey King, is a main character in the classical Chinese novel, Journey to the West (西遊記). He has been China's favorite superhero for at least five centuries. He's amazingly strong, he can fly, and he has a few tricks those other superheroes have never heard of. And he's always ready to do battle with demons, dragons, and monsters. Children will learn the novel (2 chapters/day), sing songs, say rhymes, draw the story, and recite and act out each chapter. At the end of the session, campers will perform their favorite chapters for parents. Theme 2: Travelers in China 中国城市和名胜古迹:
This session is focused on Chinese geography and historic scenes. Children will learn about cities in China and visit some big cities, such as Beijing, Shang hai, Xian, and Taibei, through pictures and videos. Children will draw a map of China as they travel to each city, and describe each city through artwork, speech, and a daily journal, recite "Poem of Chinese Cities," sing favorite melodies from different reigns in China. At the end of the session, parents will be invited to the students' work display and performance. Age:3 -10 yr. Campers need to bring a sack lunch, a morning snack and an afternoon snack every day.Camp Options:Students can be enrolled in any week or weeks. Schedule:8:30 am - 3:30 pm.
