Age: 7 and up

Requirement: No previous dance experience needed. Students need to wear a leotard and dance shoes to the class.

Class duration: 10 lessons/quarter, 1 lesson/week, 55 minutes/lesson for children's dance class. 90 minutes/lesson for adult dance class.
Material needed: No purchase is needed for materials. School provides all the costumes for the performance.

Children's dance:
Dance class develops students' coordination, balance, strength, control, flexibility, and musicality. The class covers a variety of Chinese folk dances, including Miao zu, Xinjiang, Menggu, Zang zu, Dai zu, and Han zu. Students will perform in variety of occasions, such as Chinese New Year celebration and multicultural events.
Adult Chinese dance:

Introduces the fundamentals of Chinese folk dances, basic ballet body aesthetics, barre technique, stretch and strength . No experience is required. It is offered in term sessions that introduce the different Chinese folk dances.

Please join us and enjoy fantastic 1-1/2 hour Chinese folk dance class every week. This class is open to anyone who wants to stay fit and have fun. By attending the class, you will learn basic steps in Chinese folk dance; you will learn tips to maintain good fitness. Most of all, you will sweat and lose weight in the enjoyment of music and dance.
